The New Hanover County Democratic Party - Democratic Women

The Democratic Women of New Hanover County (DWNHC) is a chapter of the Democratic Women of North Carolina, founded in September, 1960. If you are a registered Democrat and interested in learning about the power of women within the Democratic Party and the leadership of government, you are invited to visit, and join the DWNHC. The DWNHC is not exclusively for women, as men are also welcome but are not voting members. Our chapter meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Our Objectives:

1. To actively promote and support the principles and objectives of the Democratic Women and Democratic Party of New Hanover County.
2. To work for the election of Democratic Party candidates.
3. To stimulate and encourage the active participation of diverse populations in the Democratic Women and Democratic Party affairs and public office.
4. To initiate and carry out programs and projects on behalf of the Democratic Women and Democratic Party.
5. To actively support specific legislative measures sponsored by the Democratic Women and Democratic Party.
